To fully activate the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we need to speak in tongues and give it time. We need to put Him first place in any decision making process. Today, we’ll continue from yesterday’s episode and discuss more on the INWARD WITNESS!
Romans 8:16 “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” KJV
I really want us to understand the workings of inward witness properly because it is the primary way God leads his children on issues that are not clearly spelt out in the word. I am certain that God must have witnessed the direction in which he want us to go to our spirit before revealing his mind to us through dreams, open vision, audible voice añd other means but most times, we ignore inward witness or we don’t recognize it all. Don’t forget the traffic light illustration I gave yesterday. That’s how it works. Inward witness is a knowing deep within.
Inward witness is a spiritual perception. It should not be confused with suspicion or guess work. Most times, we suspect people, things or situations because of information at our disposal but when it comes to inward witness, it is a spiritual perception that is independent of information. Listen to what Paul said in Acts 27:10: “And said to them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives”. Perception in this sense was spiritual. The mind suspects or make guesses but the spirit perceives.
Your spirit man is responsible for the perception not your mind. Why? This is because God created our spirits to work as a receiver of divine signals. Every radio has a receiver that receives radio waves and converts the information carried by them to a usable form. It is when your spirit receive the signal that your mind interpret what is received for action. Your spirit can only be as sensitive as you have trained it to be. The more of God’s word you feed your spirit and as you pray in tongues regularly, the better your sensitivity to the leading of the spirit.
CONFESSION: As from today, I delight in training my spirit man with the word. I give place to the word in my life and in my spirit in Jesus name.
