Mar 18, 2018 | Start Right

The number 18 is always a significant number for me, maybe because i was born on the 18th, or maybe not.

Do you attach importance to dates and days?

Well, come to the first week in the month of April. It’s the sunny summer time, and the heat is on. I pray that this month will bring us good tidings, successful biddings and awesome winnings in Jesus name, Amen.
It’s another Sunnday, time for the quote, verse and word of the week.

“Be passionate about something bigger than yourself. It inspires growth”

Sometimes our dreams seem so huge and great, that we get a bit sacred to take bigger steps. Oh well no one fulfilled their dreams by just being comfortable with the little small things, there’s always going to be that stretch if we want to attain greatness. So be ready to climb new heights, it might look scary but you’ll definitely grow, and learn new things. I can say for myself that starting this blog was a big step for me, but i decided and it’s been awesome because I’ve been learning new things through my research, things I didn’t even know existed. Driving your purpose with great passion inspires growth.

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
{Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP}

In everything we do, according to this scripture, acknowledging God and totally dependence on Him brings about divine direction. There are things in the future which we can’t see but once we commit our ways to Him, He leads us in the right path to follow. The wisdom of man is like foolishness unto God. Are you trying to start a new project but you’re not sure of the how and where? Commit it unto God and He’ll direct your paths. Amen.

Bias Cut

This is a term used in the fashion industry.
It is the diagonal direction of a woven fabric. Unless woven from stretch yarns, fabrics stretch more in the woven direction than in the length or width.

Designers can take advantage of this stretch by manipulating the fabric so that the bias areas fall in ways that cause the designs to fit the body more closely or drape into soft folds. Designer Madeline Vionnet (active 1912 – 1940) was renown for her bias designs.

Text: 1PETER 1:16-22, Phil 3:13-14, LEV 26:13

 1 Peter 1:14-22

[14]So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.

[15]But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.

[16]For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

[17]And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

[18]For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.

[19]It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

[20]God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.

[21]Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.

[22]You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.

Lately I’ve been meeting awesome and amazing people, and it makes me excited. Why? I learn from them and deposit something too.

So I’ve been thinking who’s going to be our very first Blog Personality and then I happened to run into one of such great minds by name Austin Okoronkwo and I thought to myself what better way to start this new series than with someone as this. I decided to strike a conversation-led-interview with him, and this is what he had to say.

The Newspaper Stand

Mar 16, 2018 || Comic Documentary

Have you ever wondered what goes on around the newspaper stand?

Curious? Read on

So the other day while taking a trip down to Rumuokoro – Portharcourt Nigeria, I noticed something that’s not new in my country: The “conglomeration” of individuals at a newspaper stand. You know I’ve always been curious about this “office” that sometimes I decide to partake in their board meetings. It’s amazing as to what we can learn from places we never expected and also weird as to how naive we can be, ironical right?!

CHRIST and CIRCUMCISION: The Spiritual Significance.

Mar 16, 2018 || Faith Factor

Hello everyone.

So I’ve been doing a personal bible study journal and it’s been awesome. I was reading Romans 4,when I stormed on the word Circumcision. I couldn’t go forward without getting to understand what Apostle Paul was talking about. I prayed and the Holy Spirit led me. I did some research and added up. Be blessed.

Mar 15, 2018 || Architectural Designs.

The ability to take a dusty, old, abandoned building or space and turn it into something magnificent and historic, is the beauty of architectural designs.

Ricardo Bofill stumbled upon a dilapidated cement factory in 1973, he immediately saw a world of possibilities (the kinda person I wanna be). La fábrica was born, and almost 45 years later, the structure has been completely transformed into a spectacular and unique home.

The factory, located just outside of Barcelona, was a WWI-era pollution machine that had closed down, and came with many repairs to be done when Ricardo Bofill and his team purchased it. After years of partial deconstruction, the determined architect proceeded to lace the exterior of the property with vegetation l, and furnish the interior as a modern living and work space.

“Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:26

You may be facing a giant today. He may be a giant of sickness or failure, of financial shortage or another kind of trouble. But don’t let him scare you. You have a secret weapon. A weapon that once turned a shepherd boy into a bear-busting, lion-killing, giant-slaying champion. That weapon was a blood covenant with Almighty God.

ReBLOG – The Climate Reality PROJECT

The headlines can be discouraging. Severe storms and wildfires are striking with more and more intensity due to rising global temperatures and a rapidly changing climate system. Meanwhile, the US continues to roll back critical climate policies and has maintained its irresponsible and very lonely decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. But instead of feeling defeated, citizens – from all ages and backgrounds – are fighting back by standing up for clean energy and against the fossil fuel agenda. The movement is growing stronger every day, and our efforts together are getting results.Just look at what’s happening, both in the US and around the world. Young people are suing the Trump Administration for failing to address climate change. Grassroots organizations have pressured US cities to double climate efforts, and at least 47 have already committed to 100 percent renewable electricity. Internationally, climate action is also accelerating as several countries have stepped up their ambition to reduce emissions and install more clean energy, helping to fill the global leadership void left by the US.Are you ready to join the movement? We understand that speaking up can feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be. We broke the process down into three simple steps.

Mar 14, 2018 | SDG Goal.

The first world countries described as “Developed” often categorize third world countries as “Developing”,  however lack of material wealth does not really indicate that a country is deprived. Also a strong economy in a highly developed nation does not mean much especially when a significant percentage of the population is struggling to cross the poverty line and manage vulnerability.

by Kenneth Copeland

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4

People go to great lengths trying to wring knowledge from God when all they need to do is go to the Bible. God’s not holding Himself back from anyone. It’s His will for every man and woman to walk in revelation of Him.

“Well now, Brother Copeland,” some say, “God’s not going to give all those sinners out here a revelation.” Really? Why do you think He sends evangelists to preach to them? Why do you think He sent His Word? To reveal the truth!

So, if you want to know that truth, just open the Book and read it. All of it…not just the parts that are in red. Those aren’t the only parts Jesus said. He said everything in Genesis. He said everything in Exodus. He said everything in Numbers. He said everything in Deuteronomy. He said everything in Leviticus. He said everything in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He said everything in Romans. He said everything in the Book. He is the Word!

In fact, if you’ll read Galatians 3, you’ll discover that every promise made to Abraham was for Jesus! It was the promises that brought Him. It was the promises that enabled Him to heal and deliver people. He didn’t minister by some special power no one else could have. He based His ministry on the revelations He’d received through faith in the written Word of God.

When the devil came to tempt Him, He didn’t fight him off with a special legion of angels who’d been assigned to protect Him because He was God’s Son. He fought him off with the phrase, “It is written.”

God has equipped you to do the same. He’s given you His written Word, and He’s given you His Holy Spirit to help you understand it. He’s more than ready to give you the knowledge you need. You don’t have to wring it out of Him―just open the Book and let the revelations begin.
